Hi, I’m an assistant professor in the DIG team at Télécom Paris since December 2025.

Previously I was a PhD student in ALMANnaCH at Inria Paris advised by Chloé Clavel. I was also affiliated with DaSciM at Ecole Polytechnique. My research focuses on the evaluation and alignment of large language models, particularly regarding linguistic aspects such as diversity and multilingualism.

I completed an engineering diploma at Ecole Polytechnique and an undergraduate degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. I also spent some time as a research intern at Apple AIML.

I come from Beijing and have lived in New York and Shanghai before settling in Paris for the moment. I enjoy learning new languages and exploring off-the-beaten-path destinations through solo backpacking. I also love to paint, make pottery and write creative non fiction.

• June 2025: Our paper on benchmarking linguistic diversity in LLMs was accepted to TACL.
• May 2025: Our paper on naturalness of multilingual LLMs was accepted to ACL 2025.
• October 2024: Joined INRIA’s ALMAnaCH team for the last months of my PhD.
• August 2024: Our paper on synthetic data and linguistic diversity was reported by the New York Times.
• June 2024: Presented one paper at NAACL 2024.
• May 2024: Joined Apple AIML for a research internship on multilingual language models.
• December 2023: Presented one paper at EMNLP 2023.
• December 2022: Presented one paper at EMNLP 2022.
• March 2022: Gave an invited talk on abstractive summarization evaluation at Laboratoire d’Informatique de Paris Nord.
• Feburary 2022: Started working as a PhD researcher in DaSciM at Ecole Polytechnique.
• January 2021: Received the Prix du Stage de Recherche (Research Internship Prize) from the Computer Science Department at Ecole Polytechnique for my Master’s project on COVID-19 and semantic change.
